Weekend classes overview
We are pleased to announce classes have started on Saturdays from 10am to 12pm.
The session will be split into 2 parts:
- Learning to read the Quran.
- Basics of Islamic Education.
Our Quran lessons are given by a qualified Islamic teacher with significant experience in Tajweed to help ensure accuracy in reading and pronounciation.
The basics of Islamic education session will follow a structured curriculum based upon the Weekend Learning series of Islamic Studies. The curriculum goes from ages 5 to 16 starting with the basics and progressively adding additional layers of understanding as our children get older.
We have aimed for a balanced curriculum that focuses on the basics and teaching our children how an Islamic perspective on how to behave in society positively with various modern issues that our kids are facing. The weekend classes will broadly follow the normal school terms with 3 terms per year from: January to April, May to August and September to December.

Costs
The aim of our school is to be non profit and only cover costs of our teachers, volunteers and books. Our final costs per child will depend on number of children joining weekend classes. Please note that payment for each month is due in advance. This ensures we can pay teachers and suppliers on time given a limited budget and also simplifies administration to chase payments given we only have a few volunteers.
As our focus is on educating all children, please speak with us if you need any help with the costs.
